We are so sorry – we have been doing our best to make it right and we are almost there

Well, that didn’t go quite right, did it?! We veered off course and tripped up at the finish line by running out of 2025 Half Marathon medals and we genuinely apologise.

In the first week after Race Weekend, we rallied, reordered, engraved and got those shiny beauties delivered and ready for collection.

We also took much-needed time to debrief, review, reflect on and refine our processes, including the ordering of medals. Hard, but necessary lessons have been learnt.

This is but one aspect of the long-term reform strategy that has been discussed and drawn-up, and is ready to be implemented. These reforms are not meant to be a band-aid fix, but consist of long-term improvements and interventions affecting all the aspects of the functioning of the Two Oceans Marathon NPC.  

Still don’t have your medal? If you’re one of our just under 900 Totalsports Two Oceans Half Marathon home-stretch hotshots who were meant to get a medal but didn’t, courtesy of our not great ‘Oops’ moment, it’s possible you missed one of our call-outs since 15 April.

No stress – we’ve got you. Just give us a shout and we’ll make sure your 2025 medal gets to you.

To those of you who have come to collect, we loved meeting you – a huge and heartfelt thank you for your warmth and kindness.

Every stride you took deserves to be celebrated – and we’re right here, ready to hand over the bling!
